DWIGHT spinoff! Rainn Wilson confirms, joking: “the worst idea I have ever heard in my life”

30 Jan

Yes! It is confirmed by the actor himself. It seems like Dwight will make THE OFFICE  proud by spreading his wings OUT of Dunder Mifflin and into his own show. Wilson said the project is in the works, planning on revolving around Dwight returning to his family’s beet farm and bed & breakfast:

“It would have a crazy menagerie of characters,” …Rainn said…“It would be even more far out and weird than The Office.”

There is no deal officially sealed for the project, but it was said that a backdoor pilot is planned to air later this season for a projected 2013 premiere.
