why 30 ROCKs ??? cause KableTOWN is written with a K

4 Oct

Seems like a regular webpage at first sight, right? well NOP…. Just one of the many reasons why 30 Rock ROCKS! They actually got the domain for kabletown just to make a fake webpage for the fake company that bought out the GE building. That is true art in the making! Notice the company information??? :

“Why KableTown with a K? Because K stands for the Kindness we show our customers, the Keen interest we take in their needs and because CableTown with a C was already the name of a store that sold cable-knit sweaters and legal said we had to spell it with a K.”

The webpage is fully “navigatable” and you will discover a new sourse of laughs with every click. It’s simly awesome. I find it amazing that they have such a great grasp and understanding of visual information. How they can disguise pictures and diagramation into something that can pass for comepletely plausible, so you feel somewhat a fool when you realize that the pictures are actually mocking you and that you CANT actually get a gender designed channel guide for your specific needs for $12 extra on your bill.

yeah, its fun to mix internet and series.
I saw this done also for heroes, the tv series. The site was up after sylar took the place of nathan. I think it was when sylar as nathan was running for congress. Dont really remember much, the point is: its fun to mix internet and series. =)

Yeah I agree…but not just only wih series. For example, the whole alternate reality game (that involved a lot of internet pages) for The Dark Knight was, and to me still is, mind numbing. The guys who elaborated everything had previously done a similar campaign with Nine Inch Nail’s concept album Year Zero. (The album may (crossing my fingers) extend to a miniseries.)
